At 4 pm, all Foodies will meet our tour guide at Warorot Market. (Please meet our tour guide at Warorot Market near the over/walking bridge next to the Ping River. The meeting site is outside of the market. Once you are at the market please look for the Ping River, there’s only one over/walking bridge connecting the river and the market.)
Destination #1: Warorot Market has been around for over a century, and is one of Chiang Mai’s oldest, largest and most diverse open-markets. Inside the market, we’ll stop at our favorite stands and try local highlights like Sai Oua (Northern Thai sausage which is made daily), freshly made Golden Curl, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea.
Destination #2: Stroll through the nearby Flower Market
Destination #3: Ride to our favorite, authentic Northern Thai restaurant where you’ll feast upon mouth watering staple dishes — Gaeng Hunglay, Larb Moo, and the award winning Yum Samunprai herbal salad.
Destination #4: Ride to Wat Chedi Luang, inside the Old City, and journey back in time together to learn about this historical site.
Destination #5: One more ride to Chang Puak Gate night market where you’ll enjoy a couple street food must-eats. Taste the well known “cow girl” stewed pork leg on rice and enjoy a freshly made, hot rotee!
The tour will end around 8pm.
Note: On Saturday evening the tour will end at Wua Lai Saturday Walking Street at 8pm. We will visit Wat Srisuphun, the World’s First Silver Sanctuary.
